Slow Cooker Bacon BBQ Chicken
Ingredients
- 3 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup KC Masterpiece® Hickory Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce®
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 6 slices bacon
Prep
- Place the chicken, KC Masterpiece® sauce, Italian dressing, red pepper flakes and brown sugar in the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
Cook
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until filled cooked. Make sure meat reaches an internal temperature of at least 165ºF. When the chicken is done, use 2 forks to shred the meat and stir to evenly coat with the sauce.
- Using a medium size skillet over high heat, fry the bacon until crispy. Place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Chop the bacon and stir into the chicken.
- Cook on high for 15-20 more minutes. Serve hot.
